Free Story Telling in The Arabian Night Reading Room - Part of The Book Show
We have a selection of wonderful guests joining us for some very unique story time experiences in our medieval undercroft which is being transformed by the Arabian Tent Company for the event!
Saturday 2nd March
11am - Jon Mason storyteller brings to life his own story inspired by Sussex Folklore- Suitable for ages 8+
Amelia is a girl who thinks books are, umm, okay... But simple pictures in an old book take her to places she never expected - quite literally. Giants, angels and dinosaurs, Virginia Woolf and Galileo: ancient legends and not-so-ancient history await in a specially-written story that sweeps from Sussex to the stars and back to your bedside table.
2pm - Lindsay Galvin will be reading from her book “Call Of The Titanic” with Q&A afterwards - Suitable for all ages
Saturday 9th March
11am - Councillor Becky Francombe reading “The Day That Fin Flooded The World” by Adam Stower, Suitable for all ages.
11.20 - Alice Carter reading “Dogs Don’t Do Ballet” by Anna Kemp, Suitable for all ages
2pm – Councillor James MacCleary reading "The Smeds and the Smoos" by Julia Donaldson, suitable for all ages.
Saturday 16th March
11am - Xanthe Gresham, International Storyteller - Fairies, folk and the phoenix - enchantment from around the world and around the corner. reccomended for ages 6+
1pm – Plastic Free Seaford volunteers Fran and Sandra will be reading from "Someone Swallowed Stanley" by Sarah Roberts, and other stories.
1.30pm – Alice Carter reading “The Story Thief” by Graham Carter, Suitable for all ages.
